Transitional Housing

The Moxie, New Avenues’ Transitional Housing is a 24-bed, community-living facility in downtown Portland serving youth ages 18-24. Offering shelter, 24/7 staff support, case management, access to basic-needs supports, and resource navigation, the program is designed to help you build daily life skills as you work toward permanent stable housing. We also have four rooms dedicated to parenting youth with children under the age of 2.

Transitional Housing serves youth who are screened into the Homeless Youth Continuum or are in DHS custody.

Transitional Housing Form & Application

Per Oregon Senate Bill 710, New Avenues for Youth submits quarterly reports to the Oregon Department of Human Services tracking  the frequency of restraint and involuntary seclusion (if applicable), as well as the demographics of children in care on whom such techniques are used. These reports are accessible to the public via the ODHS website at: State of Oregon: Children’s Care Licensing – Child-Caring Agency (CCA) Licensing Reports
