(Sexual & Gender Minority Youth Resource Center)

Culturally specific support for LGBTQIA2S+ youth

Here at SMYRC we provide a safe, harassment-free space for queer and trans youth ages 13-24, where you can create art, play music, and join in on our open mic nights, drag shows, and support groups. You can access services like counseling, school support, and much more. Whatever you are looking for, we are here to honor, empower, and support you.

Additional Services We Provide

We also offer mental-health services. A Cascadia Behavioral Health LGBTQ Mental Health Specialist is available for appointments for SMYRC participants outside of the SMYRC space.

To register for counseling, please fill out a form at https://cascadiabhc.org/cair_form/ and request “Birdie Marmaduke (they/them)” in the “other” section. Select “Garlington Health Center” as the “preferred location.”
