The Cap & Cork Crew are beer enthusiasts who help support the mission of New Avenues for Youth by donating bottles of beer each year to help grow and sustain Brews.
To join, a donation of one case or more of rare, vintage, or limited edition beers is required.
Here’s how to join:
1) Put together your case (12 bottles) or more of rare, vintage, or limited edition bottles. These are beers that can cellar/age well like Lambic, American Wild Ales, Imperial Stouts, Barleywines, strong Belgian Ales, etc. Recent beers that are not generally available in the Portland, Oregon or Pacific Northwest market are also quality donations. Vintage beers of any kind (can be from the Portland/Pacific Northwest market but are no longer available) are also welcome.
2) Complete the in-kind donation form, listing all of your bottles, the estimated value, and tick ‘Yes’ in the ‘I am a Cap & Cork Crew case donor’ field.
3) All cases must be donated and in our possession by July 10th. If you live in Portland, you can drop off your donation with one of the Brews Co-Chairs or deliver it to New Avenues. If you live outside of town and can’t get your case here before then, email email@example.com for information on how to get your beer delivered to us or to make alternate arrangements. Please note – due to COVID-19, we do not encourage shipping or drop-offs at this time. We will update this page when we feel it is safe to do so. Please stay at home and help flatten the curve.
4) If you joined the Cap & Cork Crew last year and donated bottles for the 2019 event, you must make a new donation for the 2020 event to be eligible to purchase the Cantillon Collaboration.
The success of Brews depends on the generosity of the beer community. For all other donations: kegs, silent and live auction items, and bottles for the “Wall of Beer” CLICK HERE to fill out our Donations form. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
