Brews for New Avenues
2022 Guest Brewers
One of our favorite long-time local supporters and frequent VIP guest pourers, Logsdon Farmhouse Ales remains a steadfast staple of the Pacific Northwest scene. Their brews run the gammut from infamous standard bearers like Peche ‘n Brett to finely tuned lagers and classic IPAs. John, Jodie, Shilpi and Mark are some of the most genuine and generous people around, and we’re thrilled to have them on board for 2022!
Hailing from Capitola & Santa Cruz, California, Sante Adairius Rustic Ales is well known the world over for their barrel-aged mixed fermentation creations, but those who delve deeper into their catalog will find they make incredible products across the entire beer spectrum. Adair, Tim, and their staff are some of the nicest and most authentic people in the business, and we’re beyond excited to have them as our out-of-town guests!

On November 12th, 2021, more than 500 community members joined us for the 10th Annual Brews for New Avenues, and raised over $180,000 to support New Avenues’ mission! Thank you to everyone involved, from our guest brewers, guest pourers, and Black is Beautiful Collaborators to our sponsors, volunteers, caterers and attendees.
This annual event provides critical support for New Avenues’ programs for youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. Since its inception, this event has raised more than $1 million to end youth homelessness. Thank you!
2021 Guest Brewers
James and Melissa Priest from The Referend craft some of the finest 100% spontaneously fermented beers this side of the Atlantic, relying on traditional methods, time, skill, and impeccable ingredient sourcing to achieve consistent excellence. On a visit to Portland that just happened to coincide with Brews a few years ago, they poured some of their creations for our guests, and we haven’t stopped inviting them back since. Their generosity is abundant, we are honored to have them and can’t wait to see what they come up with for 2021!
One of the Northwest’s most talked-about breweries, Great Notion’s hazy IPAs and culinary-inspired ales took Portland by storm when they opened in 2016. Five years on, their momentum and diversity of styles continue growing and evolving. Co-Founders James Dugan, Andy Miller, and Paul Reiter have supported Brews for New Avenues since their brewery’s inception, not only with their quality products, but with their time – providing one-of-a-kind, hands-on experiences to some of our lucky auction winners. We are thrilled to have them and to see what they have in store for us this year!
Originally hailing from San Diego, Modern Times arrived on the Portland scene in 2018 and immediately made an impression with their mastery of a wide array of styles and over-the-top taproom design. Over the past three years, they have not only seamlessly integrated into the local beer community, but through Michael Christy, Marissa Zebold and Lauren Hayden, have generously supported our cause at every opportunity. We are beyond excited to have them, and look forward to some show-stopping collaborations and packages!
