The Position:

The Food Support Specialist will design and implement nutritional meals for the Day Services program. This position is in charge of coordination of food and supply ordering, deliveries of the food supplies, food preparation, serving, soliciting donations, working directly with volunteers and youth performing work experience hours; also maintaining high levels of kitchen cleanliness beyond health department standards. Additionally, it is important that this person is able to maintain a safe and supportive multicultural environment for homeless youth with a framing on culturally inclusive food access.


Skills & Knowledge: 

  • 2+ years of experience in food industry required, experience managing food services preferred. Food Handler Certificate required.
  • Ability to work with multicultural staff and youth required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
