Salary Range:              $34,000 – $38,000 DOE

Hours:                              Full-time, some evenings and weekends required

The Position:

Ben & Jerry’s is a Social Enterprise of New Avenues for Youth which aims to achieve financial sustainability while providing paid job training for young people ages 17-24. The Shop Manager will plan and manage the retail operations of a Ben & Jerry’s Partner Shop, including inventory management, financial reporting, equipment maintenance, and participation in marketing efforts. The Shop Manager will provide the proper hands-on training support to youth staff in accordance with the mission of New Avenues for Youth, and offer training that focuses on daily operations, exceptional customer service, product knowledge and cleanliness.

 

Experience:   

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in retail/food service operations
  • Prior experience with business planning and inventory management

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage people effectively
  • Excellent communication skills both interpersonally and in group settings
  • Entrepreneurial drive and skills, with interest in socially responsible business
  • Willingness and desire to work with multi-cultural staff and youth
